How heavy can a fish tank hood be ?

Fancy telling us about ways you have saved money by doing it yourself or want advice on a future project.

The cabinet is going to have 18mm ply then 25mm poly on top of that so should spread the weight

so there will be no over hanging of glass so to speak

You will need a base board the size of the tank placed on the top with a sheet of poly on it, as I already mentioned. Its all downward pressure and water being what it is keeps it even throughout.
