No, I meant it had to be cleaned before you started assembly, now you will have to clean it with a silicon remover or use a brand new 'Stanley' blade and fine wire wool on the area affected, before repairing it.

yea, makes sense. i think ill get some silicone remover and a new stanley blade... do i have to get it like 100% clean?

You should be able to 'feel' when it's clean, 100% clean can't get any better. :-)
