My first tank

I just got my tank last Thursday and it is a 75 gallon tank. The filter I got was not working so I brought it back to the store and they ordered a new one which should come in today. I placed it in my room (still in school) and I do not have all the decorations, like driftwood so I will load a picture of the tank up later. It will be a Cichlid tank with an Oscar, maybe two Jacks, and a Galaxy Pleco.

I got my filter. It is the Eheim Ecco Pro I wanted the Pro 3 but it broke so the LFS is giving me 2 Ecco's but the water is murky. It is murky because I did not rinse the pebble things correctly.

But all the dust and stuff settled down after about 24 hours.

Yeah also put a little to much ammonia in the tank and I bought the test strips and the smallest reading at 0 is bright yellow and the biggest reading is at six which is dark green and mine was gray so I will do a 50% water change.

you are also much better to get yourself a liquid test kit as the strips are not very reliable. Most of us on here swear by the API test kits.
