It's not you.
Of the dozen or so 305 & 405's I've owned I probably broke the clip on at least 10 of them at some point. Most of mine have been running for a few years on just one clip.

I prefer the natural blue rams straight out of the river......boootifull...... :thu: ..and they will rival most marines for colour.
If it has fin's and swim's I'm interested in it....

Actually I'm not fussy when it comes to Rams. I like them all :-)

I was thinking the common German Blue Rams (that's how they're labeled here) but then I saw a few with a sort of golden hue to them and much rounder bodies which they call balloon Rams? Priced the same as the the German Blue and supposedly some variation. They look cool and Angelfish loved them so we went with 2 of those. They're in the bucket acclimating now but I'll post some pics in the next day or so.

I was also going to pick up a half a dozen Rummy Nose Tetra's but just as he was about to net them out he made a comment about how much he liked them but he just wished they were hardier. That's when the light went off in my head. I knew I remembered something about those guys but couldn't remember what. I remembered they have to be in groups but for some reason I thought I also remembered them being on the pricey side too but these were $3.99 each or 3 for $10.00
So I'm still not sure if these are the one's my gut tells me to avoid or not.
In any case I passed on them for now until I get a little better feedback on them.

Rummynose tetra will hide if there is only one or two but in a group of 6 or more they are lovely and I have never had any issue with them, the problem with rummy nose is a lot put one or two in a tank and they die from stress because they were not in a group.

Okay, so that's what stresses them out. I knew I remembered something about them. Maybe I'll give them a shot then as I was going to go with a half dozen anyway.

I did manage to pick up a single tube florescent light fixture today for this tank so I've got that out of the way for now.

The rams are still hiding toward the back of the tank so it's been difficult to get a decent photo but here's one.

Ok so the Rams are doing very good today. I am happy that they are coming towards the front of the tank they are beautiful. Thank you Candise for the advice on the Rummynose I really liked them when Tom showed them to me. Maybe I will be lucky to come to some tomorrow evening. ;)
