Does this filter work as simple as adding an airpump to it or does it need something else?. I just need a basic filter for my axolotls. ... 20ed848fc0

Its just a simple sponge filter, and yes all you do is add an airpump to them. I used them on fry tanks and kept them ready for use by running them in my main tank when not in use. They work by the sponge collecting the detrius from the tank. The are not brilliant in all honest but do work for fry tanks, they would do small axolotls but there are better filters out there.

They don't look to bad a filter to me for a fry tank ...
If it has fin's and swim's I'm interested in it....
