Water preparation

Postby weirdartist » Wed May 14, 2014 9:41 pm

Hiya, I know we may have to be careful recommending certain brands, but we have always used the Tetra brand of aquasafe... I spotted interpet (sp?) brand of water safe stuff a few quid cheaper in a local shop, is this just as good??

Hello Terry

I use the Tetra Aquasafe mainly because that's the one on the shelf in the Fish Shop. It is easy to mix. I used to use a different one, can't remember which one, but it was a pain because it just dripped a few drops into a bucket, I was never confident of the dosage. I use a syringe now to get it accurate, (without the needle!)

One of the best is Seachem Prime. 5ml treats 50 gallon of water so it saves you a fortune in the long run.
