Small thin white worms on the aquarium glass
4th Feb 2012
Small thin white worms on the aquarium glass. They are very thin and about 1-2cm long there are also smaller ones babies i presume. Are these planaria and if so how do i get rid of them. I'm not worried about using something which kills them and leaves there dead bodies to rot as there are no fish in there, or should i say shrimp as it is a soon to be shrimp tank. Please advise thanks in advance

Creepy people coming to my home
4th Feb 2012
Over the last few days have had various people come to my flat to get themselves some axolotls, but have to say 90% of them are creepy as hell. One looked and acted like Jaws from the bond films and that was scary enough, one absolotely stinked and i just had 5 asian males come, that was probably more scary than creepy. Copepods or ick?
4th Feb 2012
Do copepods cling on to animals sometimes? If not then my fish has ick, i treated for ick to be safe but i only have one bit left so i need some within this week, i also stupidly added the treatment but now i need to do a water change so ill probably run out today. Are there any places to order online which will come quickly as i probably cant get to the shops, PM me if there is. Thanks in advance

3rd Feb 2012
I recently bought some fish from a local breeder and when I told him that I had some Kribensis in my tank he told me that he had an albino kribensis. So i looked at it, he said I could have it for $5 and I took her home. He was convinced that it was a female but after examining "her" in my tank im pretty sure it's actually a male. I've attached a picture and I would like some opinions on the gender of this mystery Kribensis. I contacted the seller and he told me that he was positive...

Use of Salifert tests for FW tanks.
3rd Feb 2012
Hi all - long time no see! I've been off elsewhere getting very salty since last I was here. In another place I asked Habib from Salifert a question and I thought his answer may be of interest to you. Specifically I asked:
Could you comment on how well your kits would perform when testing FW?
Being a splendid chap, for a Dutchman, (joke! ;-) ;-) ;') he replied with:
Many of the kits can be used on freshwater.
Those that can not be used are...
